A valid fishing license is required for any angler fishing on state waters 12 years of age or older. These licenses are nontransferable and nonrefundable. These can be purchased online prior to your trip, though they are typically available for purchase the morning of your guided trip at your local fly shop.
You must be in possession of your valid fishing license prior to put in and must be in your possession at all times.
Residents and non-residents alike must have a valid fishing license to fish Washington waters 15 years of age or older. When fishing for salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, or halibut your license will come with a catch record card to track your harvest.
According to the Washing Department of Fish & Wildlife, you are required to carry your catch record card while fishing and return it by the appropriate deadline, even if you didn’t catch anything.
